KESS In the wake of global diversification of production sites of car manufacturers and the growing public concern in environmental issues, short sea transportation is increasingly seen as an important mode of transportation within Europe.

"K" Line has a group company providing short sea car carrier service in Europe. The company, "K" Line European Sea Highway Services GmbH, is one of the major short sea car carrier operators in Europe, transporting approximately 700,000 brand new vehicles a year.

The service network covered by KESS includes the whole of the North Sea and Baltic Sea and Atlantic Spanish coast, ranging from Spain to Russia, with 10 modern vessels in the service. There have been several new buldings added to the KESS fleet since 2005, which are also suitable for high and heavy Ro-Ro cargoes. The company's aim is to develop business in these areas, to provide first-class service to our customers.
